Terms of Service

Portrait Reveal is operated by Ben Smith, a sole trader based in New Zealand (ben.smith2403@gmail.com). By creating a Portrait Reveal account, you (a photography studio) agree to these terms.

Portrait Reveal is a platform for sharing client photo galleries and taking wall-art/print orders. It is designed for one photographer or studio per account — a single login per business, not a multi-staff tool. Each Google account can own exactly one studio.

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter about your business and your clients, and for keeping your own account credentials secure. Your clients access their galleries via a private link you send them — they never create a Portrait Reveal account. You’re responsible for obtaining any consent you need from your clients to upload and share their photographs through the platform.

• New accounts get a 30-day free trial — no card required to start.
• After the trial, continued access requires an active paid subscription, billed monthly via Stripe.
• Pricing is shown on the Billing page in your account before you’re charged, and may include a limited-time discounted rate for early signups — the discounted rate, once applied, holds for as long as you stay subscribed, even if the standard rate changes later for new signups.
• We’re not GST-registered (turnover under the NZD $60,000 threshold), so no GST is charged on invoices unless that changes.

You can cancel any time from the Billing page — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We don’t offer refunds for partial billing periods. If a payment fails, you get a short grace period to update your card before access is affected.

Your galleries, photos, orders, and settings are kept for 90 days after cancellation, in case you change your mind or want to come back. After that window, everything is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If you want your data removed sooner, contact ben.smith2403@gmail.com.

You agree not to use Portrait Reveal to:

• Upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
• Attempt to access another studio’s account, data, or client galleries.
• Abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent limits or security controls on the service.
• Use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this, with notice where practical.

We aim to keep Portrait Reveal available and reliable, but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access — the service depends on third-party infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend) that is outside our direct control. We’ll do our best to communicate any planned downtime or significant incidents.

Portrait Reveal is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost business or lost profits) arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be excluded under NZ or Australian consumer law.

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
